Dogs at Camp Booklet
Dogs at Camp is an unique boarding facility for dogs that features kennel free boarding, individualized attention for dogs, group walks to a lake, and more! It lives inside 100 acres of land near Ontario, Canada.
Dogs at Camp owner, Glen Kowarsky, requested a “retro style” booklet to promote the camp. Over the course of several weeks, Glen and I developed an entirely illustrated booklet.

Process
To begin the process of designing this booklet, I developed a preliminary layout plan based on the text provided, and a few provided completed illustrations.
In this phase, I drew rough sketches, developed retro elements for pull quotes, and organized information into different categories.
At this stage, I also experimented with a color palette and fonts.
Final Product
After patient editing and revising, we completed the 15 page booklet. Here are some of my favorite pages! Below, each illustration was created by me. I had to match the retro illustration style of the initial illustrations the client provided.
This spread is an example of combining provided illustrations with my own illustrations. I was provided the illustration of the man and the dog on the left, and I included the two dogs on the right.
